This New Years we were lucky enough to have Chelsea, Matt, and Cameron come to town to celebrate 2012 with us. Since we all love to cook (and eat), we made two really great New Years Feasts: a Hungover New Years Brunch and a Lucky New Years Dinner.
Not many photos were taken due to the Hungover element of Hungover brunch, but we did make a pretty delicious frittata, and I managed to take one photo:

For dinner we made a Lucky Feast. According to Southern tradition, certain foods symbolize things you want for the new year. For example:
♥ Greens (here, kale + onions + mushrooms + garlic + balsamic) symbolize folding money


♥ Black Eyed Peas are for good luck and sometimes symbolize coins

♥ The pork (or, chicken sausage) is to remember to be humble
