It’s funny that when we were in school we complained so much about having to do a certain project, or go in a certain direction, and following all these constraints — when really, we could do whatever we pleased. This is a sharp contrast to Graphic Design In The Real World, I am quickly learning. While I do truly enjoy my jobs, and feel so fortunate to have them, I am still very much the entry-level designer following set styles and guides. Instead of being frustrated and whiny (a natural state for me), I am trying to make an effort to make stuff that I want to make, that I choose, that I direct, that I can have fun with.
And now, after much reflection and contemplation, I present to you “Nubby Wings Bird.”
