This weekend we went to the Brooklyn Flea, an enormous flea market in Fort Greene, Brooklyn. All the vendors sell lovely handmade or vintage goods — clothing, jewelry, tea towels, chocolate, pickles, anything your heart desires, actually.
Even though everything there was beautiful and unique, the jewelry at Loyalty and Blood was especially great. They have awesome geometric forms in gold and copper, and I ended up purchasing a lovely gold “floral spray” necklace (not geometric or crazy, but a safe Helen Dear sort of necklace, I think; it looks nice against my pale pale skin and black clothes). They also have nice lil illustrations on their site, and the boy selling the jewelry was precious and very chatty. Worthy of my hard-earned cash for sure.
